CANADIAN GRAND PRIX 2025

Mostly a sleeper race until the last five laps when Lando hits Oscar trying to get past and takes himself out of the race. Max did well to avoid George baiting him into doing anything to make him get another penalty point and a race ban. Really cute to see Kimi Antonelli’s first podium. 

Practices 

• Max got 3 penalty points on his license for hitting George at the end of last race so if he gets one more penalty point in the next 2 races then he gets a race ban 

• Charles crashes in Practice 1 and red flags. He broke so much of the car and can’t go out in Practice 2 because of it. 

• Lance Stroll drives into a wall for no reason in practice 2

• Nico Rosberg is in the commentary box for P3 and it’s DRAMA, they bring up when he intentionally rammed Hamilton at this track in 2016 after he roasted Max for ramming George

Qualifying

• Yuki gets a 10 place grid penalty for passing under red flag

• Red flag for a HUGE amount of engine cover on Albon’s Williams blowing off 

• Out in q1: stroll at his home race, Sainz for being impeded by Hadjar, Lawson, Bortoleto and someone else 

• George on pole at the last second after stealing it from Max who is second, Oscar in third. Lando down in like 7th and Charles in 8th after saving from a snap on a turn 

• In the post race interview, Max came over and shook George’s hand to congratulate him

• THEN the crowd booed Max when he spoke and THEN Jacques Villeneuve who was interviewing him said that George had a tough guy next to him in Max and George said it’s fine because they’re mates but he was being a jerk and then he said he had a few more super license points to play with than Max and the crowd cheered UGH

Race

• Alex Albon retires for a Mercedes power unit failure

• Stroll gets a 10 second penalty at his home Grand Prix for running Gasly off the track 

• They tell Lawson to retire to take care of the power unit and he has been in the back all race 

• 67/70 Lando is trying to get past Oscar but Oscar holds him off and then Lando hits Oscar while trying to go pass where there was no gap and hit his front wing on the back wheel of Oscar and Lando drives over his own broken wing and crashes into the wall and takes himself out of the race

• Under the safety car, George brakes erratically and max accidentally goes past him and then both try to tattle on each other 

• Finished under safety car, Russell wins, Max in 2nd and Antonelli in third 

• Later Red Bull complains to the FIA that George was driving erratically under the safety car 

• Max is very cordial to George in the cooldown room 

SPANISH GRAND PRIX 2025

Pretty quiet race until the last ten laps after Kimi Antonelli’s engine failure caused a safety car, then every single thing that happened to Max until the end was wild. I really hope Max did not ram George on purpose. Nico Rosberg was a fun commentator as well. 

Qualifying

• Yuki is dead last for some reason in q1

• Sainz starts 18th at his home race 

Race

• Lance Stroll withdrew from the race for wrist pain 

• Liam Lawson has been in SO many incidents today 

• Liam and Ollie were scrapping while Lando and Max were trying to lap them and the back markers were super dangerous and didn’t realize the front runners were involved and Max waves his arms at Ollie 

• Safety car for Kimi going in the gravel with a power unit failure 

• For some reason they put Max on a hard tire and he’s angry for the last stint 

• On green flag things just go INSANE

• Maxy nearly spins out, then he and Charles collide a little on the straight and Charles gets past, then George Russell steams into Max who has to go on the escape road, then Red Bull tells Max to give the place back to George and then Max appears to ram George while he is apparently letting George past

• Oscar wins, Lando second, Charles 3rd

• Funnily enough the incident of Max apparently ramming George was so late in the race that Max was already voted driver of the day

• Nico Rosberg did the commentary and was saying to give Max a black flag for hitting George  

• They gave Max a 10 second time penalty for the collision which I think was applied to this race 

MONACO GRAND PRIX 2025

Overall, they tried to do a required 2-stop race for the first time this year, but it was not very successful. Most teams found a way around having the 2 stops hold them back. It’s impossible to pass in Monaco, but so awesome and historic. 

Practices

• Stroll brakes in the hairpin and Charles crashes into him 

• Lots of people getting into each others way in Practice 1 

• In practice 2, Hadjar hits the wall and red flags and then hits it again later

• In practice 2, Karun says the visit Monaco slogan should be "visit Monaco: it will make you feel really ugly and poor"

• Oscar hits the wall and red flags in practice 2, which was overall very hectic 

• In practice 3, Hamilton hits the wall and red flags 

Qualifying 

• Kimi Antonelli hits the wall at the very end of Q1 and red flags

• George Russell’s car dies in the tunnel and they red flag and have to push him all the way to the chicane service road 

• Lando gets pole, then Charles and Oscar

Race 

• Hamilton got a three place grid penalty for impeding Max in quali 

• Bortoleto crashes when being passed by Antonelli by the seafront turn but only VSC

• Gasly runs into Tsunoda and his entire front left tire is displaced but he has no brakes to stop so illegally takes it back to the pits so they can stop him 

• Max holds up Lando before he has done all his required pit stops so Charles behind can give Lando a hard time but it isn’t enough

• Lando wins, Charles in second, Oscar in third
