SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2025

In a few words: A pretty exciting race with good passing and races going on. Quite a lot of contention about the first corner where Max went off the track and gained an advantage over Oscar. Max got a 5 second penalty which ultimately gave Oscar the win. Charles has his first podium of the year and Max is not happy at the end, but handles it pretty maturely. Oscar is now leading the championship. 

Practices

• Yuki crashes and red flags in Practice 2!

• George Russell is wearing the funniest silver windbreaker and eating ice cream or something and it’s a hilarious astronaut outfit 

• Liam Lawson has 2 infractions for not following race director instructions and gets a reprimand 

Qualifying 

• Lando crashes in q3 and red flag! 

• Exciting q3 after the crash and after close competition from Oscar and George, Max takes pole!! He says simply lovely :)

Race

• Yuki and Gasly crash out in the first lap

• Max pushes past Oscar on the runoff for the lead and gets a 5 second penalty but he should have probably given it back instead because now he’s in free air with an advantage that disadvantages Oscar 

• In the pits the penalty for Max gives Oscar the lead 

• 37/50 Charles passes George for third 

• Liam Lawson got a 10 second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage 

• Oscar wins! Max second and was mature about it, Charles in third

• First time Oscar is leading the championship 

• Extremely hot out and the boys are very exhausted 

• Max gives a very short interview and only answers one question and then leaves
