Qualifying
- oh my gosh the put inters on Charles on a dry track and it ruined everything and he’s furious and we all are
- George Russell went off and beached it and caused a red flag when the rain was coming in so by the time for the restart it was too rainy to set a faster time SO KEVIN IS ON POLE
- Kevin Magnussen is having the best day ever and it warms the heart
Sprint
- Kevin did keep the lead for lap 1!! Yay!
- Oh my gosh Alonso and Ocon are having terrible exchanges, Ocon pushed Alonso off and broke off his front wing in a separate incident and the nose change cost him 30 seconds
- By lap 4, Kevin is in fourth with Max in first, then George, and Sainz
- They were so focused on Hamilton gaining a place the forgot to show how Max passed Kevin
- Alonso is roasting Ocon on the radio ahahhaah
- Lance Stroll pushed Seb into the grass on the straight and Martin straight called it dirty driving but then next time Seb gets past him
- George snuck up and is challenging Max for the lead
- I love the corner name Magoolio
- Yellow flag for Alex Albon who is out and it cuts off George from challenging Max but then it gets green again really fast
- Max says he hit debris and Martin says it’s from Alonso’s front wing from Ocon hitting him but Max says it’s okay
- 15/25 George gets past Max for the lead
- Potential start infringement for Zhou Ricciardo and Hamilton?
- 10 second penalty for Stroll for a DANGEROUS MANŒUVRE hahahaha YES
- Sainz destroys Max’s front wing end plate going past him and it falls off dramatically and then Lewis gets past Max too so now Max is in fourth
- Lance notes for DRIVING ERRATICALLY hahahahah
- They’re talking about putting Perez ahead of Max for the extra point to help in the drivers championship but ultimately they don’t
- Kevin finishes 8th and gets a point which is great!
- George wins the sprint!! It’s his first win, it’s not a full Grand Prix but it’s a sprint win which is something
- This was a VERY dramatic and stressful race
- Sainz in second and Hamilton in third, Max fourth and Perez fifth
Race
- the starting infringement stuff came to nothing
- George keeps the lead
- On lap 1, turn ten, Daniel hits Kevin and then Kevin spins and tags Daniel and they both go into the wall dramatically but they’re fine and safety car
- For some reason Daniel is back in the garage and Kevin is still out by the crash sooo can someone go get Kevin
- MAX AND HAMILTON hit right after the restart and there damage to max but he continues
- Then RIGHT AFTER Norris hits Charles and Charles goes into the wall fast BUT MANAGES TO KEEP GOING
- Lando now has strange feeling in steering
- Both incidents under investigation
- Somehow no safety car
- They’re never gonna rule against Hamilton here where they worship him
- YEP they gave Max a five second time penalty and Martin says that’s the exact opposite of what he thought, he agrees with us that Hamilton should have gotten the penalty
- Also Norris given a five second time penalty for hitting Charles but that was appropriate
- Carlos had to stop and his back right is smoking and fire because of a tear off stuck in it but he keeps going, I totally thought it was over for him
- Max serves his penalty and then they fumble his wheel so it ends up being a 10 second stop
- 52/71 Norris car dies and they can’t move it so it’s a full safety car so this means George is under threat from Hamilton behind him on restart
- Alpine tell Ocon not to fight Alpine but he FIGHTS BACK and he won’t listen
- Yuki only uncapped himself halfway by the time the restart comes? Uhhhh
- They let Max through past Perez to get the cars in front of him and then they are going to let Perez back in front if Maxy doesn’t get him
- They ask Max to let Perez back by but when they go over the line, Max is still ahead
- They say Max refused to let Sergio by because of Monaco! When Sergio didn’t let him back by or crashed and don’t let him by or something DRAMA
- GEORGE WINS and keeps Hamilton in second thank GOD
- George is just crying openly and it’s so emotional
- George wins, Hamilton, then Sainz
